Manchester United set to announce James Rodriguez signing this weekend – report claims

Manchester United could announce the signing of Real Madrid star James Rodriguez as soon as this weekend, according to numerous reports.

The 25-year-old moved to Madrid in the wake of an impressive 2014 World Cup for a fee in the region of €80 million but has struggled for minutes during Zinedine Zidane’s tenure.
As a result, the Colombia star has been persistently linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, with Jose Mourinho said to be an admirer.
It was widely reported over the weekend that Rodriguez had agreed in principle to join Mourinho at Old Trafford.
And, Colombia’s Radio Caracol have gone one further, reporting that a switch to the Manchester club will be announced after Madrid’s last Liga game of the season away at Malaga on Sunday.
However, the Madrid-based paper AS claim that while the deal is in place, Los Blancos intend not to make it public until after the Champions League final in early June.
