But you just don’t know where to get that money, you are probably tired of calling your parents or you are just the type who doesn’t like demanding from them. You can raise this money yourself

One hidden fact about your school is that, your school or campus is a good market, you can make good money while studying and you won’t have to wait every month end waiting for that alert which usually gives HBP especially when your phone rings and it turns out to be network message (LOL; very annoying. I’ve been there). Below are some tips on how to make real money in Nigerian universities. I’m not charging anything for the tips, it’s free of charge. I know how it feels being student and you are desperately in need of ideas on how to get money. I am also a student and I’ve been in those shoes of being broke severally:

1. SELL ONLINE
If you have a lot of friends on Facebook and you are not using Facebook to make money, then you are not taking advantage of it. Once yu have lots of friend on Facebook you can easily sign up for one of these online stores like JUMIA, KONGA, JIJI and KAYMU. It is totally FREE all you need do is get buyers to particular products and have some physical stores where you can collect products from and sell online, after selling you take your own share of the money and give rest to the owner of the product depending on the amount you both have agreed. Where Facebook comes in is after posting on any of online stores you share it on your Facebook wall in order to get your friends aware you have such product for sale.

2. OFFER TUTORIALS TO OTHER STUDENTS
Do you have any course you are good in particular? Why not offer tutorial to other students in your campus on hourly basis and charge a reasonable amount, I am sure students will be willing to hire a tutor. You can simply put your service on a notice board or better still put it on campus classifieds advert platform where it will remain live for a longer period of time.
If you think you don’t have time for this, you can solve past question and sell them to other students

3. ONLINE REGISRTATION
You are good with computers, you have good internet access or maybe you get partial access, you can help students who don’t have this access do registrations like Post-Ume, Course registrations, Accommodation and the likes.

4. SET UP A BLOG
I love this one personally. Are you good at writing, you like to share your views to many people out here, do u have a desktop or laptop computer, internet facility, then this might be a breakthrough for you. You might be telling yourself I can’t set up a website or a blog, but I’m glad to bring it to your notice that you don’t have to be a computer geek or web designer before setting up a blog, There are ready made website script which are very straight forward and easy to use, you just need to install them on a cheap good hosting service for a start and you are good to go. This job can fetch you money beyond your expectation, what you just need is the passion for blogging, patience and always post and share ideas and news worthy stories.

5. PHOTOGRAPHY
The Photography business has grown from its obscurity state in the days to a renowned profession which people are making a fortune out of. Starting this business in small scale means you are not just making money at the moment but securing a strong financial future for yourself. You know how students especially the female folks love taking pictures; this is the perfect time to make maximum use of this opportunity. You don’t need much to start, just save a little money for a good camera, with a bit of creativity and you’re good to go. You can also take passport photographs during school registrations.

6. SALE OF FASHION ITEMS
One interesting thing about this business is that you’d succeed no matter your gender. Both male and female wears rocks on Nigerian campuses. All you need to do if you are interested in this business is to buy in a cheap amount even if it takes you travelling to the particular destination where you will get it cheaper.

7. T-SHIRT CUSTOMIZATION
This business requires your creativity as a student. Looking around you, you’ll notice students love fancy and funky stuffs. Learning the art of this business means you’ll have fellow students begging you to collect their money for a t-shirt write up. You can learn this simple business during your stay at home/holiday. You can start in small scale by doing the write ups on your own T-shirt, friends will like it and ask you to even do for them.

8. WEBSITE DESIGN
It is no longer news that web design is one of the best lucrative jobs as of today. Although most people feel it is difficult and too wide but don’t forget “NO PAIN NO GAIN”. My advice to you who feel web design is difficult is for you to stop focusing on the learning process and start focusing on the earning process.

9. PLAITING/CUTTING HAIR
I feel I don’t really have to talk on this too much. If you are a student I’m sure you know every boy and girl in school wants to look cute and fine. The ladies always want to look beautiful and to you who knows how to plait hair that is your opportunity to have your bank account smiling at you same applies to that young man who cuts guys hair as well.

I saved the best and easiest for the last, I am sure you have couple of shoes that isn't your size but are still looking nice or you having an old laptop which you wish to discard, or you even have a friend that wants to get rid off any of his possession. Even old text books that you probably do not need any more, infact anything old you have that you thinking off disposing I am telling you today to pause and have a rethink.
